This Ramadan Become 1 of 1,500 ‘Ansars of Salam’

Your monthly support can keep Masjid Al-Salam open for 1,300 worshippers in Brampton, giving them a place to pray, belong, and grow in faith.

“This Masjid Didn’t Just Teach Us Islam—It Gave Us a Family."

“I remember stepping into MPIC for the first time. I felt at home instantly. My children enrolled in Quran classes, my wife joined the sisters’ circles, and I found a brotherhood that embraced me. This masjid didn’t just teach us Islam—it gave us a family.”

—Brother Ahmed

Brother Ahmed’s story is not unique; it’s the story of countless families who found hope, healing, and a deeper connection to their faith through Masjid Al-Salam.

Alhamdulillah, in just four years of operation, Masjid Al-Salam has already:

But here’s the challenge: maintaining this momentum requires constant effort and resources.

Masjid Al-Salam, also known as Mount Pleasant Islamic Centre (MPIC), serves northwest Brampton—an area where the need for Islamic spaces is greater than ever.

Brampton is home to over 80,000 Muslims—yet there are only around 10 mosques.
At an average of 8,000 people per mosque, many are already stretched beyond their capacity, struggling to meet the needs of a rapidly growing Muslim population.

Alhumdulillah, we have already expanded our masjid, increasing our capacity from 700 to 1,300, to serve even more worshipers.

From hosting daily prayers and Quran programs to providing community support and Iftar meals during Ramadan, Masjid Al-Salam has become a pillar of faith for so many.

However, sustaining this growth and providing the necessary services to our larger community requires ongoing support. Our goal is to raise $50,000 for daily operational expenses to keep our doors open and continue serving our growing community.

To keep the momentum going without delays, we must raise the first $50,000 by Dhul Hijjah. If we miss this critical milestone, we risk a setback, and hundreds of brothers, sisters, and children will be left without a spiritual home.

Will You Let 1,300 Worshipers Be Turned Away?

Imagine standing at the gates of Masjid Al-Salam on the Day of Judgment, knowing you had the chance to sustain Allah’s House… but chose to look away.

Would you want to be responsible for 600 people being left without a place to pray, belong, and grow in their faith?

Would the Ansar of Madinah—the ones who welcomed the Prophet ﷺ and the early Muslims—have turned anyone away?

Of course not!

And today, as one of the Ansars of Salam, you have the same opportunity to ensure our doors remain open to continue to embrace your brothers, sisters, and children in faith.

The need is urgent. The reward is eternal.

This Ramadan, Let Your Actions Speak for Your Faith

Ramadan is not only about abstaining from food and drink. It is the month Allah opens the doors of mercy, multiplies rewards, and invites believers to act on their faith.

Allah reminds us in the Qur’an:

“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed that grows seven ears; in every ear there are a hundred grains.”

In Ramadan, this multiplication is even greater. Every act of charity, every sincere contribution, and every effort made for the sake of Allah carries a weight far beyond its worldly value.

Dear brothers and sisters,

Supporting a masjid in Ramadan is an investment in your Akhirah. It is a contribution that supports daily prayers, Jumu’ah, Qur’an recitation, learning, and sujood long after Ramadan ends.

This is a chance you won’t get for another 12 months!

And even then it does not come with guarantees. We are not promised another year, another chance, or another opportunity to give while rewards are multiplied.

This is the month to act while hearts are soft, intentions are sincere, and Allah’s mercy is near.

100% Community Funded. 100% Your Reward.

Masjid Al-Salam receives no government funding. Every prayer, every shahadah, every Quran class, every Iftar meal—it’s all sustained entirely by the generosity of believers like you.

From the moment the call to prayer echoes through the halls, to the warm, welcoming faces that greet each worshipper, everything we do relies on your support.

Your generous support can make it possible for us to continue offering the following vital services to our community:

What’s At Stake…

If the doors of Masjid Al-Salam close, here’s what the loss will look like:

  • Youth seeking direction will be left without guidance, lost in a world full of distractions and temptations.
  • Many will miss out on the opportunity to embrace Islam through da’wah and shahadahs.
  • New Muslims might drop their newly embraced faith, overwhelmed by the challenges they face without support from a strong community.
  • A growing community will no longer have a place to gather and pray, leaving them isolated and disconnected.
  • Future generations in northwest Brampton will be at risk of growing up without a strong foundation in Islam.
  • The light of Islam will dim in an area where da’wah is urgently needed.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like one who did it.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 6005)

About Masjid Al Salam

Welcome to Masjid Al Salam, also known as Mount Pleasant Islamic Centre, situated by the Go Station near Mount Pleasant in Northern Brampton. It was once a church and has now been converted into a Masjid.

In the last 4 years, we’ve gone into large expansion to add more capacity for the brothers and sisters.

We offer 4 Jumaa prayers and many other programs like Quraan Hifz classes to help students memorise the Quraan from front to back. And there’ve been a handful of Huffaz who graduated from Masjid Al Salam during those 4 years.

Also, during Ramadan, Masjid Al Salam is proud to offer full Iftars from day one all the way till the end of Ramadan. In some cases, feeding over 700 people per day. On average, we’re able to provide meals for over 300 Muslim worshipers in and around the Brampton area.
